The 7 PM Cheer

Every evening at 7 PM here in NYC, you can hear cheers erupting across the streets. The sound is incredibly invigorating and so fitting given these difficult times we’re living in. It’s done to honor and recognize all of the amazing first responders and healthcare professionals, who are doing so much in the name of keeping us all safe.

When times are rough in NYC, we all come together. I think that’s such an incredibly important message for the general public, and those outside of the city and even the state.

Times are indeed tough at the moment; and it’s likely that they will get worse before they get any better. But even so, the need for expressing appreciation to those working tirelessly on the front-lines of this pandemic is so important.
