He Craved Her Salt

He saw her salt water exactly as intended.
A healing place.
Not just a quiet body of still beauty
but a cooling place
with the heat that ministers to burdens and the friction that cleans every wound.
Her salt ignites movement of blood
& caresses his muscles to build him.
His nourishment is better now. Her salt flavors the bland.

Instead of finding another lagoon to appease his needs
He welcomed her body of complexity
The calming waters sang to his spirit
While the raging tides sculpted him

With the wetness of her love
He didn’t stay away long
His thirst wanted more
His heart willed him to
Call her salt his home
