Stop FAKE from creating a reality

We are extremely blessed, but also cursed to live in today’s world. Blessed because we can enjoy the benefits of the modern world, reach almost every corner of the globe, call or text friends from everywhere to anywhere without even thinking about it, 3D print things including body parts, and we are living in the middle of the autonomous vehicles and AI revolution. But unfortunately, there is always a darker side. The fact that everyone can write, record and broadcast what he wants (just as I am doing right now) on so many platforms led to the age of fake news. My goal is to expand this and talk about the power of the wrong, misleading or just accidental word and the tendency of people to spread news without truly understanding and what it can cause with some scientific examples. Yes, I will not go into politics, where fake news is a plague, but I will talk about the world that is supposed to be pure, accurate and calculated, the world that I was educated in: SCIENCE.

There is a lot of information on the web, everything is easily accessible, and the issue is not finding the information but finding the right information. There are numerous theories and conspiracies. In this article, I gave scientific links that will help shed light on each subject (except the flat earth since I mean, are you using your GPS? There you go). You need to be careful what you forward or post because if enough people post something it can become a reality, true or not. Always double check your information and then how reliable are your sources so together we can graduate from this fake news / fake science age and move on since humanity needs to move forward not backward.
