Education is Great But Never Underestimate Experience

For the last couple of days I have been trying to fix my heater. It’s not that I don’t have money to pay someone to do it….I would just rather try myself before spending the money. My significant other decided to step in when I wasn’t making any progress and he called a “professional” who told him to do a few things….and he did but to no avail. He then called a much older (68) gentlemen without a formal education who was able to diagnose the problem over the phone in less than 4 minutes. The experience that this man has can’t be taught from textbooks yet he has been looked down upon because he doesn’t have a degree or other credentials.
