Anxiety is treatable in different ways to help you. Other than therapy, journaling daily, staying active, and practicing some deep breathing can reduce anxiety. Reading helps reduce stress and anxiety and it was proven to have a good impact on the brain over the long term.

Self-help books are what you are looking for and personally I’m a HUGE fan of them. Here are a few best book suggestions that can help with anxiety and dealing with it.

It’s a must-read for if you get shy and stressed out whenever you have a social occasion. This book helps you deal with anxiety, building your confidence and basically feeling comfortable in any situation you are in.

Dr Hendriksen has personally dealt with social anxiety and helped many of her patients to deal with it. It’s a ground-breaking book with a touch of humour to help you train your brain, change your behaviour, and get you past annoying social anxiety.

The book has many worksheets for breathing exercises such as how to practice self-talk healthily and how to switch into a better lifestyle whether nutrition-wise or workout exercises. Every detail in this workbook will help you in dealing with anxiety and managing in case of panic attacks.

It follows a step-by-step guide to work on breathing, goal setting, time management, controlling overthinking, working on your fears, anger, dealing correctly with nutrition. It explains how your body and brain go along. Different editions of this book are available as well you can choose the one you prefer.
