To begin my study on how I can improve my time management skills, I started to think about all the important due dates and events that were coming up. I began to write each thing down and I realized that i should try using an erase board calendar. I believed this was the best way to try and keep track of everything going on in my life. I chose to use it from Saturday to Monday. I wrote down each assignment due between those days along with my work schedule and other plans that I had with my family or friends. I placed this calendar next to my mirror so that each day I would look at it.

Each day I looked at my calendar and tried to plan my day with those events in mind. For example, Sunday i had numerous plans with different friends along with homework that was due that night. With a busy schedule like that, normally i would be very stressed and anxious about getting everything done and not forgetting anything or anyone. Thanks to the calendar, i was able to physically see my plans and then plan out travel times to each event. Being able to plan out my day made my life significantly easier.

I found over the course of the three day mini experiment that a calendar is very helpful as long as the information written down correctly. It will become useless if something is forgotten or not written down. The calendar was a very good idea and i would recommend it to anyone. It is cheap and very easy to use. I will continue to use the calendar because it made such a significant change to how I plan and go about my days.
