Measuring clicks as a success metric

I know you want to measure how many conversions you got from your TikTok collab but it just doesn’t work. TikTok wants users to keep users scrolling and users themselves want to keep scrolling. To get a click on TikTok users would have to click on the creator’s profile, then click on the link in bio and then find your link among many. Most people aren’t going to go through that many clicks unless there’s a really really strong pull to do so

So stop measuring clicks as a metric

Features, Features, Features

Our attention spans are getting worse than goldfish these days! TikTok users will scroll through the video super quickly. Even with viral videos with millions of views, I’ve seen less than 50% watch time. So for a 15-second video, that’s just 7.5 seconds.

So we know that users won’t stick for long and we know attention spans are getting worse so for the love of God only pitch one feature in a single video. If you’re tryna stuff all the amazing features your app or product has the users will get overwhelmed and they’ll just scroll past it

Adding your brand hashtags

As much as you want to create your hashtags and build a presence that way unless you’re like Apple or Coca Cola that will backfire like crazy.

If you’re collaborating with multiple influencers and you want all of them to use your brand hashtag then TikTok will start showing the videos to the same people who are engaging with that hashtag.
By doing so, not only you’re limiting your reach but you might piss off the same users if they see tons of similar videos about your product
